[ Self-collab-portrait ]

Seung Hwan Ji

This work endeavors to capture the sense of void arising from the disparity between a designer's ideals and the realities. The designer plays various roles that cross dreams and livelihoods, including jeweller, welder, carpenter, barber, and construction worker. He experiences a void of discord caused by balancing this dual role. Embracing this incongruity, the designer tried to capture a unique identity, merging and assembling those professional fragments. This object serves as a collaborative self-portrait, embodying each profession's influence.
